The majority of the UK’s top-100 law firms have document management systems (DMS), accounts and practice management systems (PMS), according to a recent survey.

The most popular DMS by far is Autonomy iManage Worksite, which is used by 70 per cent of the top 50 and 61 per cent of the top 100 firms. Among the remainder, the systems currently in use include Open Text DM eDOCS, LexisNexis DNA and SOS.

Usage of accounts and PMS is more varied, with just over half of the top 50 having adopted Elite products. The second most popular system is Aderant Expert, used by about a quarter of top 50 firms. Both suppliers take up a similar proportion of the top 100 market.

Conducted by Legal Technology Insider, the research covers 99 of the top 100 and 182 of the top 200 firms by revenue.
