Ian Bond, Mark Blackham and Alison Chaloner have joined Higgs & Sons, one of the largest private client legal teams in the Midlands.

Bond moves from Michelmores as partner and will focus on trust formation and administration, estate planning and estate administration. He is former head of legal services at The Co-operative Trust Corporation, where he set up the fiduciary services ready for the ABS world.

Blackham joins as senior legal advisor and moves from SGH Martineau, while former Bircham Dyson Bell trainee solicitor Chaloner takes up the post of solicitor.

The appointments bring the number of fee earners in the department to 25 and total team members to 40.

Nick Moxon, who heads the department and will shortly take up his new role of senior partner, said: "The appointments come on the back of one of our best-ever years in 2012 and we're on track for even better results in 2013."
