Beth Johnson is joining international law firm Bryan Cave as chief lateral recruiting officer.

The newly-created position will involve coordinating and managing the firm’s recruitment and hiring of lateral partners.

Johnson will be based in New York and report to the firm’s chair, Don G. Lents, and chief operating officer, David Fleisher.

Johnson is expected to work closely with the firm’s client service group leaders, office managing partners and management committee to develop and prioritise lateral partner hiring needs for all of the firm’s offices and practice groups, as well as to identify, attract and hire lateral partners to fill those needs.

Prior to joining Bryan Cave, Johnson held senior positions at O’Melveny & Myers, where she guided recruiting and professional development programmes.
