Simon Ross has been appointed managing partner at Seddons.

He replaces Robin Austin, who led the firm’s expansion for more than ten years.

Ross, who joined the London law firm in 1990, has been “integral” to establishing and building the firm’s residential property practice.

“I am excited to lead the firm’s strategy over the forthcoming years, and look to build upon the fantastic work Robin has done in shaping the contemporary outlook, reputation and provision of Seddons,” said Ross.

Austin will remain at the firm as a full-time partner in the commercial disputes group, and continue his duties as the firm’s compliance officer for legal practice (COLP).

“After overseeing the development of the firm over the last 10 years, I felt it was the right time for someone else to assume the reins and build upon our firm’s strong foundations,” said Austin.

“I am fully confident that I am leaving the seat with the firm in a stronger and more advanced position than ten years ago and, with a number of new hires, I am sure that Simon can offer new perspectives to drive the firm even further forward.”
