NewLaw firm gunnercooke has announced today that it has appointed Anna Beaumont as CEO to lead the next phase its growth.

The firm's first female CEO, Beaumont was also its first partner appointment when she joined the firm in 2011.

"We've been evolving at a rapid rate, and so too has our support structure," said Beaumont.

"Now, at almost 100 partners, it's crucial that we elevate a gear, so that we continue to deliver a better working environment for our lawyers, and service to our clients."

The corporate lawyer has advised on M&A and private equity transactions and "successfully brought a number of large plc and private equity clients", according to the firm.

In her new role as CEO, Anna will continue to develop gunnercooke's culture and central structure across both its London and Manchester offices.

Alongside Beaumont, marketing director Laura Jordan has also been appointed to the board.

Jordan has been with gunnercooke for three years and has been "instrumental in building the firm's profile", the firm said.

gunnercooke is a full-service corporate and commercial legal firm, comprising solely senior lawyers with a minimum of 10,000 hours practising experience.
