Gregory B. Jordan has been elected to a fifth three-year term as Reed Smith’s global managing partner.

Jordan’s unopposed election will give him the longest tenure as managing partner in the firm’s 136-year history.

“I deeply appreciate my partners’ confidence in me. It’s an honour for me to lead Reed Smith,” said Jordan.

When he first took the helm in 2001, Reed Smith had just over 500 lawyers in nine offices in the Mid-Atlantic region. It is now one of the largest law firms in the world, with more than 1,700 lawyers in 23 offices around the world.

Jordan was a founding board member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and serves as chair of Bethany College’s board of trustees. He is also a board member at Highmark and the Global Business Coalition for Education.
