Cornelius Brandi has been re-elected for a second four-year term as chair of top-10 international law firm CMS.

The decision was made at the firm's annual partners' meeting over 25 to 27 June, which was attended by more than 550 partners from nearly 50 cities.

"The fact that partners have re-elected the incumbent chairman is an indication that they support the general direction that CMS is going in," said Brandi.

Earlier this month, CMS announced an 11 per cent increase in annual revenues to €934.5m in 2014. Net profit rose by 3.3 per cent year on year.

"CMS is on the right track," he said. "The results show that we have substantially increased our market share in jurisdictions we want to be in. Additionally, the level and quality of mandates that we receive have continually improved."

As chair, Brandi is responsible for the growth and strategic direction of CMS. His mandate will end in June 2019.
