Solicitors Journal is joining the lord chief justice and thousands of lawyers for an annual fundraising event in aid of the London Legal Support Trust, which supports law centres and pro bono agencies in London and the south-east.

Editor at large Kevin Poulter will lead the SJ team, including head of content strategy Fiona Tucker, legal reporter John van der Luit-Drummond and junior writer Laura Clenshaw, on the tenth London Legal Walk next Monday.

"This is another great opportunity to raise much-needed funds for the Legal Support Trust while enjoying the sights and sounds of London's parks and monuments," said Poulter.

"The SJ team will be out in force alongside the great and the good from the legal world, so look out for us and say hello."

Also taking part are legal dignitaries such as the president of the Supreme Court, leaders of the Bar Council, the Attorney General, the Director of Public Prosecutions, and the Master of the Rolls, Lord Dyson, who is a patron of the London Legal Support Trust.

He said: "There is a great public need for the charities' work, and the pressures on them and their resources are immense. So let's all do our best to raise as much as we can and make the walk a resounding success."

Last year's record-breaking London event raised over £530,000 for more than 80 organisations.

Poulter said: "If you are not able to join us and would like to sponsor the team, please go to our fundraising page. We look forward to seeing you there. And don't forget your umbrella and sun cream - you never can tell."

The 10km-journey starts and ends in Carey Street. Other walks take place around the UK on various dates.
