About Solicitors Journal
Weekly Law Updates & Commentary
For the past 152 years, Solicitors Journal has been providing weekly practical and independent updates and analysis about the latest developments affecting the legal profession.
In 2006, we were awarded the title of Serial Publication of the year 2005/2006 from the British & Irish Association of Law Librarians (BIALL).
Since its launch in 1856, Solicitors Journal has been regarded by legal professionals as an established and reliable source of information, and it continues to report and provide unique insight into topical issues in an easily digestible and accessible format.
Solicitors Journal is also a web-based service providing daily news updates on the latest cases, consultations, and legislation, as well as a fully searchable archive.
What our readers say
Here is what some of our readers have said about Solicitors Journal:
"I would like to congratulate the Solicitors Journal on 150 years of independent legal reporting. I always keep a copy of the latest edition in my office at Selbourne House and I look forward to reading future issues."
Lord Falconer, Lord Chancellor
"Solicitors Journal is essential reading for many solicitors, and to have sustained such a high readership over such a lengthy period speaks volumes for the quality of the magazine, and its ability to move with a fast-changing profession."
Rt Hon Sir Anthony Clarke, Master of the Rolls
"The Solicitors Journal provides insights into developments across the legal spectrum. It is crucial reading for the legal profession who wish to receive updates on the work of the Law Commission, and provides us with a forum to discuss our consultation proposals with a wide readership of interested lawyers. The news pages cover much more than the latest hirings and firings among City firms. The Solicitors Journal is written in an approachable, down-to-earth way. The features are authoritative but accessible enough to be of interest to non-specialist readers."
